“ Coach Mikes’ “ journey began in humble origins in Shreveport, La., where he began his professional career. After attending Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La. (85-89) Mike began working at Southern Trace C.C. starting at outside services. Soon after learning club repair work, helping run and organize junior golf programs and being around golf pros and other enthusiasts he quickly found his calling.

Relocating to Dallas in 1991, Mike started working as assistant golf professional at Stonebriar C.C. in Frisco, Texas. A former junior golf champion and jr-collegiate player these two opportunity's allowed Mike to continue honing his game while still learning golf mgt operations from (2) club professionals who previously worked with Byron Nelson at The TPC in Las Colinas, TX. Mike then operated a golf practice facility in 1994 in Carrollton, TX. working alongside Top PGA and LPGA Texas legends, major championship winners and champions tour contenders for nearly 10 years! Helped operations with Colbert/Ballard Golf Schools while offering individual private lessons. He is also well versed with the most modern technology in the business having worked inside GolfSMITH (Plano) for GolfTEC and GS North Richland Hills locations as OM.

Mike also served 6 years as Varsity Golf Coach at Trinity Christian Academy (Addison, TX. '03-'09) where he helped lead the Trojans win back-to-back TAPPS 5-A State Championships in 2008 and 2009. Mike is a 3-time high school coach of the year recipient.

Over the last 7 years he has had the great pleasure of operating and running his teaching business while also serving as GM/Head Professional at the Waxahachie C.C. Mike’s passion for the game is evident with 30yrs coaching, managing and training at all levels and venues. His hands on approach isn’t just focusing on swing mechanics- knowing it’s extremely beneficial for the student to learn the mental aspects that golfing demands.

Mike offers on course training & course management, teaches groups, offers clinics and private sessions. New clients go through a holistic game approach in playing 3-holes, a Short Game & Swing Evaluation along with a Goal Setting Plan ($100). Hourly Sessions are $75 for Adults and $65 for Seniors/Juniors (1/2 hrs are available yet limited).
